Firs had a marvellous time investigating pouring water down the guttering and into bowls. They were fascinated in twisting the tap of the water carrier to fill up their jugs with water and then watching it pour out at the bottom of the guttering.
During the morning, the water was transferred from here to the mud kitchen where it was used to make some wonderful meals!

Happy days in Forest School….
Larches had a brilliant time making rainbow toast this morning!
They helped to add sticks to our fire and whilst it died down to embers, they mixed up milk with natural food dyes to make an edible paint. They painted their slice of bread with lots of beautiful patterns and colours and then we placed it carefully over the fire to cook. We enjoyed our tasty colourful toast!
Poplars also helped to make a fire this afternoon. They loved using the fire striker to make a spark and helping to add sticks to the fire. Everyone took turns to toast a marshmallow which we enjoyed eating alongside a biscuit and a warm drink of hot chocolate.
