Langley is a primary special school located in the north of Birmingham catering for pupils who have an Education Health and Care Plan.

Our class sizes are small, with a good staff to pupil ratio ensuring every child receives the support they deserve.

Our aim is to give every child the best possible start in life so that they can work towards achieving their maximum potential with the right support and in the best possible setting.

Our enthusiastic and dedicated staff work in partnership with parents, governors, multi-disciplinary professionals and the community to provide a well planned and challenging education of a high standard within a caring environment. We value parents and carers as partners in the education process and there are many occasions when families are welcomed into school.

The past few years have been exciting times for Langley, particularly in developing our partnership working with both primary special and mainstream schools where all stakeholders benefit from the sharing of expertise and resources.

In 2009 Langley moved to its purpose-built provision, shared with Coppice Primary School. This colocation with a mainstream primary school gives us the opportunity to provide an inclusive learning environment for both Langley and Coppice pupils and stakeholders.

In 2012 Langley Federated with Beaufort School in Hodge Hill. Beaufort is also a primary special school, catering for pupils with cognition and learning difficulties and is co-located with Colebourne Primary School.

In 2013, together with 6 other primary schools, Langley acquired charitable trust status through the Co-Operative Society. The group of schools are now known as the Learning Trust for Excellence.
